Abstract:

This collection consists of thirteen (13) scrapbooks belonging to and assembled by Vera McKenna Clayton (1896-1978), a prominent music teacher and community member in Santa Cruz during the 1920’s-1950’s. Scrapbooks include personal items such as cards and letters from family, friends, and pupils, as well as numerous newspaper clippings on local and visiting musicians, as well as her own recital programs and the programs of concerts from visiting or local musicians and much more.
