Join fellow local history buffs for a roundtable discussion on Santa Cruz's Vanished Chinatowns.
Join MAH exhibition catalyst Whitney Ford-Terry and community member George Ow, Jr. for a discussion about researching and exhibiting one’s Chinese roots.
Whitney will talk about the development of MAH’s current Guided by Ghosts exhibition and creator Tessa Hulls’ research process. The exhibition comes alive through art, a timeline on the wall and snippets from a graphic novel.
George will discuss researching his family’s and local Chinese community history.
This event is related to the current exhibition Guided by Ghosts.
All are welcome to attend. No prior experience necessary. If you have an interest in local history and a desire to lean this is the group for you.
