What does the ocean mean to you? We asked, and 158 people from our community responded. The result is Everybody’s Ocean, a part crowd-sourced, part curated exhibition featuring art about your relationship with the ocean.

Join us for the opening of this exhibition with a night of hands-on, related activities. Submerge yourself in a storytelling experience featuring an original creation myth told by Jason Wyman in the Auditorium. Dance to live guitar and ocean video from Henry Kaiser and grab a drink from the no-host bar.

Here’s a quick look at our schedule:

545-630: Live storytelling of an ocean-related myth from Jason Wyman in the Auditorium
630-730: Water comes to life through dry ice and projections in the Auditorium with Elia Vargas
730-9PM: An electronic audio performance from Kadet Kuhne followed by live guitar and ocean video from Henry Kaiser
5-9PM: All-ages art activity in the classroom where you can fish for supplies to make a dazzling tinfoil fish. These fish will swim around our classroom walls and compliment the opening exhibition, Everybody’s Ocean.

5-9PM: Grab a drink at the no-host bar
