Celebrate the reception of the Art Works exhibition.

Take a step into a practicing artist’s studio. Create work with puppetmakers, composers, embroiderers, and nestbuilders.

This summer, eleven artists are transforming MAH’s Solari Gallery into a series of artist’s studios. Meet the artists. Check out their work. Take part in art works in progress. All artists want to involve you as part of their work.

Join us for a MAH Members Only Reception from 6-8pm. There will be food, refreshments and dynamic talks from many of the Art Works artists. Click here to learn more about the artists working in the exhibition.

What does it mean to be an artist? Can art be more than just things and objects? What does it feel like to to make art? Explore the studios, meet the artists, and join the conversation about how art works.

Art Works is an experimental part-exhibition, part-arts residency program where artists engage the public within the museum’s Solari Gallery. They’ll spend a substantial amount of time creating work with visitors like you in their studios. Artists work with museum staff to create a studio environment within the space, speak with museum visitors about their work, exhibit works, offer gallery talks, and participate in hands-on activities with the public.

MAH Members can RSVP using the form below.
